The yearly special edition Unbranded selvedge is back baby! This round, they've hit us with a denim that looks a bit like it got trapped in a snowstorm. All those little neps you see were once considered imperfections in vintage denim. As time went on, this detail became something denim heads far and wide sought for their collections. Unbranded has taken that concept and cranked it up quite a bit as to accentuate the character. We've seen many variations on nep over the years, but this is the first time we've seen it look this classic and in such a hardy fabric. (you may recall other super neppy denim, but it was on loosely woven fabric that felt much different than this). The 18oz Neppy Selvedge feels like a super hardy, crunchy denim you've come to know and love from this brand, but with a little extra flare from the nep. You can expect these to fade as well as any pair of raw selvedge in your closet. They're clocking the softening period at around 2-3 weeks of daily wear, but be prepared because these are heavier than a standard pair of denim. Trust us though, it will pay off! And to be honest, these felt a lot more cozy than some of the other heavyweight denims we have in the shop.

Fit Notes: It is the equivalent of the Naked & Famous Easy Guy. Shop owner Tommy is wearing a size 33 in this fit. Based on the waist measurements, this is actually one size too big for him. There was likely too much room in the waist, seat, and thighs on these with plenty of taper to the ankle. He would likely size down to a 32 for a better overall fit in these. Tommy is 5'10", 175lbs with a 33-34" waist.
*The Relaxed Tapered fit has a higher rise, with extra room through the seat and thigh with a leg that tapers to a narrow leg opening.*
